Kat Gonso (she/her), a 2021 Pitch Wars Mentee, is a Boston-based writer and Professor of the Practice at Boston College. She also teaches graduate classes at Emerson College and at GrubStreet, one of the nation’s leading nonprofit creative writing centers.

Her short prose has been widely published and won numerous awards, including The Southeast Review’s World’s Best Short-Short Story Contest. She earned her M.F.A. from Emerson College.

Kat is grateful to be doing the work she loves: writing for young adults and co-creating knowledge with students.
